# Change who's on a shift

> Rename a shift, change who's assigned, or delete a shift.

<Note>
  Only admins see the **Edit** and **Delete** buttons on shift cards.
</Note>

Shifts appear on the rota automatically, one for each service time on each Sunday. You don't need to create them. See [Set service times](/admins/set-service-times). As an admin, you can change who's on a shift, rename it, or delete it.

## Change who's on a shift

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find the shift">
    Tap **Shifts** in the bottom navigation bar and scroll to the shift.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap Edit">
    Tap **Edit** at the bottom of the shift card. The **Edit Shift** form opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Change the title or team members">
    * **Title:** change the shift's name if you need to.
    * **Assigned Members:** tick the team members who should be on the shift, and untick anyone who shouldn't. Scroll the list to see everyone. Unlike **Join**, there's no limit here: you can tick as many people as you need.

    The date, time, location and number of people are shown but can't be changed here.

</Tip>

## Delete a shift

Deleting a shift takes everyone off it. The shift itself stays on the rota as an empty shift, because shifts come from your service times. **Delete** only appears on shifts that someone has joined.
